This is a big week for captive animals being released into real-nature settings. It was the manatee father-and-son pair the other day, and now seventeen captive-bred gazelles have been set free in Saudi Arabia.
You know, the news breaks my heart. War, gore, sickness, sadness. Don't get me wrong. I don't have my head in the sand or my bum tuber-like on the couch watching the latest daytime drivel. I do know what's going on in the world. But an ancient Scripture (translated into modern English) says, "Your marvelous doings are headline news; I could write a book full of the details of your greatness." So that's what I'm doing. Online. In this blog. Extra, extra, read all about it!
Floridian. Formerly known as a gaijin for eight years in Japan. Married to a Brit. Two kiddiewinks who are blond but think they're Japanese (give them white rice, furikake, and nori and they are happy campers). Seattle lover. Playing. Dreaming. Sightseeing. Photographing. Cooking. Greening. Reading. Cross-stitching. Copyediting and proofreading. Smiling. Crying during emotive international films (you have to see "Kolya"). Blogging about anything and everything. Staying a wee bit busy. I'm Abigail. You can call me Mamatouille.
